New York Sign Museum Summer Benefit 2026

The New York Sign Museum and our Summer Benefit Host Committee invite you to our first-ever fundraiser at our East New York studio, celebrating underrepresented works of art, untold New York history, and a new mission centered around education. Join us in our early stages and help us find our forever home, full-time staff dedicated to preserving signage, and grow our organizational capacity. This event will combine the best of New York City’s design, art, music, food and drink.

The evening will be full of opportunities for private tours of the collection, never-before-seen pieces of the collection, active restorations, and live sign-painting demonstrations from our strategic partner, Noble Signs.

Proceeds from the benefit will support vital organizational growth across our three values: preservation, education, and community. Your support is vital in sustaining our growth and finding a permanent home for our collection in New York, where we can showcase our entire collection and fully open to the public.

Join us in raising a glass to New York City and everything its given us. We are bringing together the city’s biggest supporters of design, history, reform, and art this June.

Live Sign Restoration Demonstration

Come see a demonstration from our expert sign restorers as they preserve one of our latest sign saves, a mid-century neon sign from Jack's Toys. The sign dates to the 1950's and stood at 909 Kings Highway in Midwood, Brooklyn. The stainless steel channels, neon tubing, and wiring will all be restored. Your ticket purchase helps us bring this sign, and countless others, back to life.

$2,500 - Founding Member - Join us at 5:30 PM for an early access, private and behind-the-scenes tour of our newest restorations and the museum archive. In honor of our inaugural year, you will receive recognition as a Founding Member of the museum. This ticket level provides critical funding for growing our organizational capacity and securing a forever home for the collection.

 

$1,000 - Preservationist - Join us at 5:30 PM for an early access, private and behind-the-scenes tour of our newest restorations and the museum archive. In honor of our inaugural year, you will receive recognition as a Preservationist of the museum. This ticket level helps support the heavy logistics of sign salvage and transport across the 5 boroughs.

 

$500 - Supporter - Access to the party starting at 6:30 PM with an open bar, dinner, and an exclusive look at the gallery. This ticket level provides critical funding for the documentation of vernacular signage in our archive. 

 

$250 - Patron -  Our standard ticket for the Summer Benefit. Join us at 6:30 PM for the main program, including dinner and drinks among our collection of historic New York City signs. This ticket level helps us sustain out educational scholarship program for our monthly sign painting workshop.

 

Summer Benefit tickets are non-refundable.

FAQs

Shipping Policy

We ship domestically to the United States only. Orders ship from Brooklyn, NY and are typically processed within 1-5 business days. Once shipped, orders typically arrive in 3-5 business days by UPS. 

Tracking information will be emailed to the address you entered at checkout once your order ships. Tracking for domestic shipments may take up to 48 hours to show up online. 

Packages are shipped by the shipping method selected at checkout. 

Carrier shipping delays can occur due to factors outside of our control. Please contact the shipping carrier if your package encounters delays. We are not responsible for shipping delays. 

We do not ship internationally or to US Territories. 


We offer UPS Ground shipping, which takes 2-5 business days once shipped. 

  • Orders $100+ - Shipping is Free
  • Orders under $100 - Shipping is $10
Order Processing

Once orders are placed, you cannot edit or cancel the order. We cannot change the shipping address, or add or remove items. Orders ship within 1-5 business days of placing an order.

Return Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you're not, we accept returns under the following conditions:

Return Window

You may return eligible items within 30 days of the delivery date.

Eligibility

  • Items must be unused, unwashed, and in their original packaging.
  • Certain items, such as final sale products and personalized goods, are not eligible for return. Please check the product description for any exceptions.

How to Initiate a Return

To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team at store@nysignmuseum.org with your order number and reason for return.

We will reply with a prepaid return label. $8 will be deducted from your refund to cover the return shipping. 

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the status. Approved returns will be refunded to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

How to Request an Exchange

To initiate an exchange, please contact our customer service team at store@nysignmuseum.org with your order number and the item(s) you wish to exchange. We will confirm availability and provide return instructions. Exchanges are typically processed within 5 business days after we receive the returned item.

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process the exchange and ship the replacement. You will receive a confirmation and tracking number once the exchange has been sent.
